I had the good fortune of having a sketch posted by the demigods of absurdism gross-out comedy, Tim and Eric! These two have an advice column up on The Onion AV Club, who I also adore for their amazing critiques and T.V. Club followings. Red letter Day!
If you arrived here from there, yo. If you like, I have a Facebook page and Twitter feed. They are new and fancy. And currently exist.
If you wanted to know, my current drawing related projects include: “Harrumph! The Adventures of Poppycock and Boulderdash,” “Personal Mission,” and a to-be-revealed iPhone game. My ongoing efforts in front of the camera includes The Dresden Codak Show, an upcoming sooo portland cable access show, Wanderlust TV, and also some dark voodoo full length movie… that will upset people.
In honor of this momentous day, here’s a secret illustration that depicts Greg, the giant kangaroo God of absurdism comedy. He’s supposed to be pretty cool.

This is not the new, good, comic I am working on. This is the idiot one that happened on the side. As a by product. It’s very silly.

So, those of you who know me, know I <3 Tim and Eric Awesome show, great job. They make some epic comedy that has turned a harsh magnifying glass on our terrible culture. Eric has a character, my namesake, Carol, and she has boss problems. Though Dick is attracted to Carol, he hates her and himself for it. But, eventually, they overcome his shame and get to falling in love, to some smooth Aimee Mann tunes.
A wise friend recently imparted the following truth to me: “Every world of fiction and media has its pornographic dimension.” Yes, Tony fucked Angela, and maybe even Mona, on Who’s the Boss. Yes, Alf’s fingers comb through his crotch fur when he’s alone and Fraggle Rock is on. And, yes, in the Awesome Show Great Job universe, you had better believe there is some getting of it, ON. They have infected my brain and I had to draw it. Forgive me.

A NEW SKIT IS UP
Go ahead and click right there, its pretty good.
And then I drew this, as if little a innernette skit warranted a full on cover like an old video at the video store. Which is how I like to imagine things.

This is a terrible cartoon.
I drew it directly in the style of one of my favorites.
Can you guess it? The real ones are better than this.

So! In other news, Dark Horse is a asking me to make a comic for their Myspace Presents! How fortunate, that I am so very practiced with “presenting” I’ve been a working on it, and it’s gonna be real neat. I’m going all out to show yall what I’m really capable of, and, they asked it to be SFW, so, I went really kid mythological with it. I wrote it with Noah Emmet during our snow storm, and yesterday, figured out how to draw a lion, as opposed to my practiced loin. Without giving too much away, here’s your teaser.
A concept sketch! With concept coloring. So, now you kinda know the story. The whole thing, all 8 pages of it, will be online in a month-ish!

This one goes out to my Alma Mater, of both toddler and wild teen years, Franklin High. And All us fighting Quakers. Holla!
I remember, when I was in Pre-School there, they gave us chillins these Ben Franklin bobble head dolls. And I stared at that thing a long time after I pulled his Bi-focals off. Because Benjamin Franklin was wiered looking.

I wish I had thought of this on my own, but, I don’t live in a bubble. Portland is a wild and thriving town for learning something new, especially if you go the right parties. It was on Halloween night that I actually encountered my new favorite Christmas myth: The Legend of the Poop-Man.
I first heard tell of The Poop-Man when I noticed peculiar party favors adorning the pockets of a party I attended. Upon entering, there was a blanket out with chocolate chip cookies, and a casserole dish with…Usually I want to eat cookies when I see them, but these cookies, at this party, they were right next to shit.
So realistic was this shit, that I did not have to the fortitude to verify that it was real. Didn’t stop my friends though, and verdict? REAL HUMAN SHIT IS NEEDED to conjure Poop Man. Also, they had a glass of pee/apple juice? I didn’t check that either. It should be noted that the process for checking the nature of the shit included wafting
The cookies and feces were next to children’s notes asking Santa for gifts, and imploring The Poop Man to take their mother to space, respectively. The mother, Poop Man was told, leaves her children in the bath too long, among other unspeakable crimes.
So, this year, this is what you get from me. The continuation of POOP MAN. If you wish to honor this new demi god this X mas, you know how to make an offering. You probably get faster service if you donate the higher quality/quantity, thanksgiving related, specimens.
On an interesting side note, my mother is moving away to California for an exciting job and new life.
THANKS, Poop Man!

A new, nice lil gag oriented toon for y’all. May it help you digest your various foods. It’s a scroll down, because at 3 panels it didnt’ make sense to “clickie” it.
And there you go. Now, I can say I’ve drawn prom fucking. I’m putting it on my resume.
Speaking of which, I am perversely proud to have my very own internet creeper! After we’ve put up our Dresden Codak trailer, every body was soooo enamored from pretty boy Harris Porter! Yes, I know he has luminescent teeths. But, may I remind you, I am a female on the internetz!!! One who from time to time, doesnt pay for her own drinks at bars, mind you. So, I got a comment finally, it only took 100 youtube comments before they mentioned me.
“Pointless wankery re: the right to existence of the comic and/or its author aside, I would totally bang the blonde chick until I passed out then do it again.”
(it was me in a wig, omgz!!!)
So, huzzuh. Everybody please take a moment to speculate exactly how long a fat naked dude in front of his computer CAN fuck before he passes out. The winning bidder gets a cookie.

So, I have recently become older. It is that, or dieing. Older it is. I had a small get together at the talented Paul Guinan’s house! Thanks again for the hosting, PG 13! Whatta lovely place.
I am extremely fortunate to have such good friends, two of whom jobbed up this hilarious cake! I always call it a successful birthday when I make people go to the sex store. Actually, before this photo, I immediately knocked the vibe away from Cathy. I couldn’t contain myself. I drew the vibe back in, so you can see the overall effect. Harris was insistent that I got a vibrator with balls. There is no accounting for taste, obvs.
This is when I saw the cake that Vicki and Harris and been whispering about ruining my birthday with. I asked people to dress mono chromatically, so imagine my elation when my purple outfit was matched with a marital aid that could have been modeled off of Barny’s lil dino peen.
It still has that new vibrator smell. Behind me, you can see Vicki and Harris becoming ashamed of the monster they created.
Then I took the Vibe and mashed it into Cathy’s gaping maw. Yes, I also made the sound effects. It’s my party and I’ll Ack if I want to.
I was thrilled. Never before have I had such a pantheon to spinsterhood come on the very cake I will eat neurotically alone, Ack-ing myself to sleep.
Also, as per my birthday tradition, I got to pencil in Kaebel Hashitani’s eyebrows in. I did much better this year, than the last, where I just drew half of one and then traipsed off. Also, look at this photo and welcome the new PRESIDENT OF THE STUMPTOWN COMICS FOUNDATION! no, not me, the pretty one! Congrats, Kaeble!
So, incidentally: the weirdest thing about my birthday, was it got me thinking about Cathy. I’ve been googling her, and crap! have you ever seen the banned one from the 80’s? Its some big controversy and they had to stop the printing presses as soon as somebody noticed the “content” because usually they don’t even edit those funnys. I just have to share this.![]()
It only makes sense she trims her pubes into a heart.

I know I’m a little early….
I had this idea back in 05, but, I wanted to redraw it. It’s easier than thinking up something new!
This will be a nice Thanksgiving for me, I can tell. There’s a family trip out to Seattle to visit the Sis and Hub, and a couple of real nice friend potlucks are getting together prior . I am thankful for all the food people feed me, and the company I keep. I’ve always loved the friendship and feasting of the holiday, but of course get conflicted about the roots whenever my mind jumps to the hokey holiday visuals.
- STORY TIME
When I was but a High school student, I had the most funny discussions in my ceramics class, with my best friend since kindergarten, who taught me how to tie my shoes. Delightful fellow, queer as a 3 dollar bill, and my prom date.
He and I would be working on some gnome statues or pottery, and while our hands would finagle, my how our gums would flap. One crisp November, we discussed, how lame it is to be forced to say what we are thankful for, around the table, and how often in our family’s that could… give somebody a soapbox to stand on, that might be regrettable. Also, we liked silly noises.
“Hey Eric! You know that funny noise you make?”
“You mean, AuuagAuuagAuuuahhhhhg?” (this noise is deep and guttural, kinda like what the sea lions sound like)
“Yeah! When your parents ask what your thankful for, make that noise as loud as you can, okay?”
“Okay!”
And he did. And it made his dad mad.
Happy thanksgiving!

I was innocently walking home from buying condoms, pabst, and pornography from THE WRONG SIDE OF TOWN. ( the west hills) , when I was brutally accosted. A 4 foot 11 bald white man rushed out from the bushes, and assaulted me with his SUV keys. He pushed me down, carved into my face, and tried to rape me… Fail. I waited patiently for him to pop some Viagra, but he was still pretty limp. I showed him my pornography, but that didn’t help. While I was holding a pabst to my face to suppress bruising, he just wrote me a rape kit bill and sulked away, muttering.
I’m pretty scared and vulnerable right now, so I think I’m just gonna make a couple press releases, then relax with my pornography and call it a day.
